Launching Summer 2025 in Silicon Valley

Our first program is a middle school summer program for rising 7th-9th graders launching in summer 2025 in Silicon Valley. In the program, the Indian girl will learn electrical engineering and computer science through a humanitarian lens for emerging markets that advance global development.

She’ll build products using tech like Arduino microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi and Python, and mobile app development, and work through the entire product development cycle from concept design to prototype testing.

She’ll learn how her products can be brought to emerging markets in 5 major areas of global development – water, electricity, agriculture, education, and health – and explore their direct applications to India’s development sector.

Engineering with humanitarian applications, also called “humanitarian engineering,” is typically taught only at the university level, at schools like Stanford, MIT, and Harvard, among others.
Our adaptation for middle schoolers enables the Indian girl to gain hands-on skills in electrical engineering, computer science, product design, and sustainable development.
